Flow Launcher Quick Access: Save Useful Files and Folders
Explorer Quick Access stores shortcuts to frequently used files and folders. Add a location from a search result’s context menu, then use your Explorer action keyword to reach saved locations quickly. These entries point to paths; they do not copy or synchronize the original files.
Steps to follow
- Find the intended file or directory through Explorer results in Flow. Inspect the path before saving a similarly named item.
- Open the result’s context menu and choose Add to Quick Access.
- Review the saved entry in Explorer settings. Give it a useful name when that option is available in your version.
- Invoke the Explorer keyword and test the saved location. After a folder move, update or recreate its Quick Access entry.
Check the result
The saved entry opens the original intended directory or file. Rename or move a test folder only when you are prepared to repair its saved path.
Limits and common pitfalls
A Quick Access list restored from another PC may contain usernames, drive letters, or network paths that do not exist on the new machine.
Make the check repeatable
Choose labels that explain purpose rather than location: for example, active invoices or project notes. Keep credentials out of display names and paths shared in screenshots. For troubleshooting, verify the saved target in File Explorer before assuming the launcher has lost the entry.
Questions and answers
Are Quick Access entries backups of my documents?
No. They are saved references. Back up the documents themselves separately from Flow settings.
